Skårasalen (1542 meters) is one of the iconic mountains for alpine ski touring in Sunnmøre, with fantastic views in all directions. What better mountain for Tindekvindene to ascend for the celebration of the Norwegian Contitution Day May 17th. (just a day in advance)? 30 women, and some men, met at Kvistadsætra to climb the 1050 meters of altitude on a beautiful sunny day with Norwegian flags attached to their backpacks.
Tindekvindene (The alpine women) is an association of women who like to ascend mountains, and their trademark is bringing a dress and posing at the summits. Many of the most iconic mountains of Sunnmøre have been visited by Tindekvindene, resulting in many a spectacular picture.

At the summit most of us changed into dresses and posed by the cairn, while singing the the Norwegian national anthem.
